Race for the Cure

Last weekend Cory and I joined Michael and Megan (my brother & sister-in-law) and over 70,000 others in downtown St. Louis for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I hadn't participated in several years and it was Cory's first time participating.

Since Cory's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago, it made it even more meaningful for us to be there. And it was great to be there with family. I was choked up for most of the race, especially when I would see a woman wearing a pink "Survivor" shirt or someone wearing a flag on their shirt that said "In celebration (or "in memory") of my mom".

Here are some pictures from the event (thanks to Megan). And thanks for asking us to walk with you guys!
